Holes : Poem

This is from the book / movie Holes. You know, Camp Green Lake? This is mainly in the book.... Its eerily beautiful, and in two parts:

"If only, if only," the woodpecker sighs,
"The bark on the trees were as soft as the skies."
While the wolf waits below, hungry and lonely,
Crying to the mooo - oo - on,
"If only, if only."

If only, if only, the moon speaks no reply,
Reflecting the sun and all that's gone by.
Be strong my weary wolf, turn around boldly,
Fly high, my baby bird,
My angel, my only....

Lol! You do realise that books have been around way longer than computers and the Internet? And, also, most of the best quotes and poems come from books, like the poem from Holes. You should really find those things in books more often. Razz
